The MBA program has a 3-day break each semester to allow students time for internship and job searching, interviews, company visits, and other such things. This semester the break was early; it was Jan 27-29. Some of the 1st year students have already secured internships and felt it best to use this time to party.
We left Wednesday morning for Island Park, ID. We stayed in a rented cabin on an island in the middle of the reservoir. It was gorgeous! There were 7 bedrooms and could sleep 16 people. We ate steak and potatoes the first night and gourmet orange chicken the next night. We had a Costco Cheesecake, ate it at lunch and dinner and still had almost half of it remaining when we packed up to go home. We ate like kings!

We rented a snowmobile and rode up to Mesa Falls. It was just beautiful. And very cold.
We had warned to not go in powder, but it looked so peaceful and undisturbed, I just had to go once. We didn't get stuck so I decided to try once more... we got stuck. This is a picture taken right after we got stuck you should have seen us an hour later after digging and digging and digging. Oi.
The only place there was WiFi in the whole town was a small lobby in the snowmobile shop. We kind of have separation anxiety from our laptops sometimes.
It was a great trip!

I love Island Park! Jason's family built a cabin up there so we visit a couple times a year. What a fun retreat! You have such a cool life.
