It finally came. It happened. I put on my black robe, blue hood, and black cap with a fringed tassel and walked across the stage at BYU's Marriott Center as they called out my name and handed me the diploma, "Masters of Business Administration". I never got to walk for my undergrad as I was sorta busy riding a plane to Nauvoo for my mission. Yesterday was almost surreal. It was a beautiful way to mark the end of a crucible and the start of a new chapter of my life. It was the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done.
If I had to sum up the many things that I learned over the past two years---and there are many---I think I would say this: it's not about doing everything right. It's about picking yourself up when you fall, eating a slice of humble pie, and doing it just a little bit better the next time. Until you fall again only to repeat it over and over; you're never going to do it all right; but you can always do it better.
